Unlike Alan Hansen’s famous quote, we believe that youth is the future of the P.P. Group. By employing young people we are thinking long-term and identifying the future leaders of the P.P. Group of Companies. This strategic approach to planning fully underpins our brand values of “people” and “autonomation” and supports the development of the P.P. brand.

During the last six months, we employed over 10 apprentices across the group for our: Sales, CAD, Production and QHSE departments. Apart from getting valuable work experience in the UK manufacturing industry, most of these employees will also get additional qualifications, such as Level 2 and Level 3 diplomas in Business and Admin, Fabrication and Welding etc.

According to the P.P. Group’s board, all of the above is supporting a number of key government initiatives, related to getting young people into work and educating them at the same time; as well as demonstrates commitment to the local community in the North West of England. “We see all these young people in 20 years being in the key positions across the P.P. Group.” says P.P. Group’s Managing Director – Peter McCabe. Peter continues: “This is P.P. Group’s ‘succession planning’ to safeguard the future.”

To conclude, we already have a number of success stories which prove that the board is on the right tracks. For example, our three key members of the Sales Department at P.P. Plasma, who are in their late 20s / early 30s; they have been with the company for around 14 years and joined P.P. straight after obtaining GCSE qualifications.
